One of the goals of Fora Stelo is to create the three Societies of Freedom and enable their members to communicate, meet and collaborate with each other. These societies are described and analyzed in the book “Society of Freedom”.
Society of Freedom is a hypothetical society in which everyone wants to live freely without violating freedoms of other human beings. Greater Society of Freedom and Extended Society of Freedom are slightly modified, broader versions of Society of Freedom.
Constructing these societies will take time, can only happen with support from their members and will happen in several phases. The first phase is to create the virtual versions of these societies.
How to join a virtual society
Joining one of the Societies of Freedom is not a trivial act and requires accepting a social contract. In the long run, being a member of a society will have important consequences that may lead to conflicts with your choices and existing lifestyle. Therefore, it is only meaningful to join a virtual society after learning about its fundamental properties and principles.
To learn more about the idea of a social contract and what it means for different societies, visit the Social Contract page.
Once you are familiar with the key concepts, take the Profile Test to find the society you logically belong to. You can then join the society by accepting its social contract and providing an email address. The next goal will be to further develop the virtual societies to create a social networking and collaboration platform to enable their members to communicate and collaborate with each other.
Society of Freedom
One of the most authentic ultimate goals of the members of this society is to live freely without violating freedoms of other human beings. Members have the three freedom-related senses, are rational and sufficiently intelligent to gradually act more rationally.
Greater Society of Freedom
Members of this society have the three freedom-related senses, are rational and sufficiently intelligent to gradually act more rationally. The society includes members of Society of Freedom and other people who do not have the goal to live freely and/or their goals to avoid violating freedoms of others are not among their most authentic ultimate goals. All members of Greater Society accept the same social contract and avoid violating freedoms of other human beings.
Extended Society of Freedom
Members of this society have the three freedom-related senses, are rational and sufficiently intelligent to gradually act more rationally. The society includes all the members of Greater Society and other people whose goals to avoid violating freedoms of others are based on a reciprocity rule and does not include all human beings. These people only agree to avoid violating freedoms of those who promise to avoid violating their freedoms in exchange. All members of Extended Society accept the same social contract and avoid violating freedoms of each other.
Outer Region
This term refers to all outsiders who do not belong to one of the societies above. The outsiders in Outer Region may not have the freedom-related senses, may not be rational, may not be sufficiently intelligent, or may not agree to avoid violating freedoms of members. Some of these people can choose to become friends of the members of the societies above.
How to leave a Society
If you want to leave a society, visit the link in the welcome email you received when you joined the society. If it does not work, send a message using the contact form.
